Makes 6 pint jars
6 pint jars (cleaned and sterilized)
For each jar add the following seasoning:
1/4 tsp. dill seed
5 peppercorns
2 cloves
2 sprigs of dill
5 baskets of small picking cucumber
Vinegar:
1 quart of white vinegar
3/4 cup of pickling salt
2 quart of water
2/3 cup of sugar
1 1/2 tsp. dill seed
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
30 peppercorns
12 garlic cloves
12 sprigs of fresh dill
Instructions
Put seasonings in bottom of jar.
Wash and drain 5 baskets of small pickling cucumber and put into jar, below the rim.
Heat vinegar ingredients. Pour hot vinegar 1/2 inch from the top.
Seal jars well and let sit for 4 weeks.

A recipe obtained from Pauline's great aunt. If done well, these taste better than the store bought pickles.
