Ingredients
12 large fresh strawberries, rinsed and dried
1/2 cup of Ghirardelli dark chocolate flavored melting wafers.
Dipping or white chocolate drizzle, optional
A few pecans, finely chopped
Instructions
Prepare a surface for your strawberries to cool with a piece of parchment paper or use a dripping rack.
Rinse, drain and dry strawberries. The strawberries need to be dry or the chocolate will not stick.
Place chocolate wafers in a glass bowl. Place in microwave on medium or defrost setting for 10 seconds, stir. If not completely melted return to microwave until chocolate is melted. Do not overcook chocolate.
Once melted gently dip strawberries in chocolate and placed on parchment paper or rack.
Continue until done. It takes a few minute to set. If using white chocolate, melt chocolate and dip or drizzle strawberries. Dip in pecans while chocolate is soft. Make a few hours ahead and eat day of.
