Banana Nut Bread

Makes one loaf

Banana Bread
Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
½ cup granulated sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup finely chopped walnuts
1 egg
¾ cup milk
¼ cup vegetable oil or melted margarine
1 ½ cups mashed ripe bananas

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a 9 by 5 by 3 inch loaf pan.
Sift together all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl.
Stir in nuts.
In small bowl beat egg with whisk. Add milk, oil, bananas and beat with whisk until mixed. Add liquids to dry ingredients and beat for about half a minute with whisk or wooden spoon. Batter will be lumpy. Place batter in greased pan.
Bake in preheated 350 F oven for 65 to 70 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Remove from pan while warm and cool on a baking rack.
