IngredientsRib Sauce:
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup onion chopped
1/2 tsp. mustard
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 tablespoon butter
1 clove garlic4 tsp. grated orange rind, optional
1/4 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon salad oil
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
Other ingredients
4-6 lbs. spare ribs
Rice
Rib Sauce: Mix ingredients, set aside.
Place 4-6 lbs. spare ribs in a roasting pan. Cover and bake at 325 F for 1/2 hour. Drain.
Spread Rib sauce over ribs. Bake at 400 F for one hour. Baste often. Be careful not to burn ribs.When done, ribs will be very dark and very sweet.
Serve with rice.
Use the good china on special occasions. Keep it out of reach the rest when not in use.
