Ingredients
1/4 cup meat drippings
2 cups liquid, stock, bouillon or water
1/4 cup flour
Salt and pepper to taste
Soya sauce for darkening, optional
Instructions
Put meat drippings in saucepan. Blend in flour. Cook and stir over low heat until mixture thickens and browns. Slowly stir in liquid, cook and stir until gravy thickens and comes to a boil. Season to taste. If desired, strain the gravy before serving and use Soya sauce to darken.
