Frozen fish, thawed or fresh fish, approximately 5 to 8 oz.(140 - 224grams) per person
Salt and pepper to taste
1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon of water (water is optional)
1/4 cup or more flour or bread crumbs
Oil
Instructions
Thaw or partially thaw frozen fish fillets or use fresh fish. Season with salt and pepper.
Dip fish in beaten egg, roll in flour or bread crumbs.
Place fish in a hot frying pan that contains 1/4 to 1/8(inch) of melted fat or oil. Fry until golden brown, turn and brown other side. Allow 6 to 10 minutes per inch thickness. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
