Quick Oatmeal Cookies

These cookies are great for lunches or picnics or add them to a cookie plater mixed with other desserts, 
Quick Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon milk or water
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2  tsp salt
1 cup uncooked quick rolled oats

1/2 cup of cranberries, chopped
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1/4 cup sliced almonds or 1/2 cup chopped almonds

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350. Grease two cookie sheets.

In large bowl cream butter using electric mixer on medium speed. Gradually add brown and white sugar and cream well. Add egg, vanilla, and milk to mixture, beat until smooth.

In seperate bowl mix flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add flour mix slowly into cookie mixture and beat until smooth. Stir in quick rolled oats until blended.

In seperate bowl mix cranberries and nuts. Stir in cranberries and nuts to cookie mixture until well blended.

Using small scoop or rounded teaspoons, drop cookie dough 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets and bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown.

Variations
Omit cranberries and/or nuts.

For different flavor replace cranberries and nuts with 3/4 cups chocolate chips or raisins or coconut.
Oatmeal cookies on cookie sheet.

Remove oatmeal cookies from hot cookie sheet and cool on rack.
