Swedish Tea Ring in Bread Machine

Swetish Tea Ring with walnuts and cherries on baking rack.
Swedish Tea Ring

Ingredients
1 1/4 cups milk
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
1/4 cup white sugar
3/4 tsp salt
3 2/3 cups white flour
1 1/4 tsp yeast

Filling:
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup brown sugar
2/3 cups raisins or mixed dried fruit

Topping
16 cherries
16 walnuts halves

Instructions
Measure ingredients in order listed into baking pan, or according to your bread machine.
Insert baking pan into oven chamber, twist to secure. Close lid.
Select dough/pasta setting.
Press start
When cycle is complete, remove dough from machine. Divide dough in half. Roll each half into a rectangle 14x 9 inches. Spread each half with the butter and sprinkle with half brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins. Roll up, beginning at wide side. Pinch edge of dough into roll to seal well. Stretch roll to make even. With sealed edge down, shape into ring on lightly greased baking sheet. Pinch ends together. With scissors, make cuts 2/3 of the way down through the ring at 1-inch intervals. Turn each section on its side. 
Cover and let rise until double. Repeat with second half of dough.
Add nuts and cherries before placing in oven.
Bake at 350 o F for 15 to 20 minutes. 
Remove from baking pan and cool on baking rack

Swedish Tea Ring are easy to cut if you slice sections on each side of the cherries.
