Ingredients:
3 cups white flour
1 tsp salt
2 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 cup oil, melted butter or margarine. Light olive oil is a good choice.
1 1/2 cup milk or water

Instructions:
Measure flour, salt and baking powder into large bowl. Stir to mix.
Pour oil or melted butter and milk or water over flour mixture. Stir with fork to make a ball. Turn out onto working surface. Knead gently about 10 times. Pat into a flat circle 3/4 to 1 inch thick.
Preheat oven to 350F. Place dough in a slightly preheated cast iron frying pan, heated in oven for about 5 minutes. Cook dough for 25-30 minutes in a 350F , turning  dough halfway using two lifters for easier turning. Cool 5 minutes and remove from pan.
Serve hot with honey. Break off chunks or slice with knife.

Hints:
May also be cooked on regular cookie sheet in oven, or greased frying pan over medium heat allowing about 15 minutes each side.

Instructions for camping
Mix dry ingredients well in large bowl or zipper close plastic bag. Add oil; work it into dry ingredients until you get an even meal consistency. Add about half of the milk or water and start to stir and mix with a fork. Keep adding milk or water and mixing until you get a good kneadable dough consistency. DO NOT make batter too wet, add flour if needed. Turn out the dough onto a floured flat surface (another plastic bag or waxed paper) and knead about 10 times, until fully mixed.Press into paddies about ¾-inch thick or a round shape 1" thick loaf for frying on fire.Cook until a deep golden brown on both sides for about 10 minutes each side for patties and 15 to 20 minutes each side for loaf. If cooking outside cover with foil. When you insert a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean it is ready. I cook mine in a pie iron on the camp fire if possible.
