Chili

Serves 6

Ingredients
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 lb. ground beef
1-14oz can tomatoes
2-14oz cans kidney beans
3 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
Bit of pepper

Instructions
Sauté onion in vegetable oil; add ground beef and stir until beef is cooked. Stir in remaining ingredients; cover. Bring to a boil, lower heat and cook slowly for 1 hr.

Serve with toast or buns.  Chili may also be served on top of cooked white rice.
