Strawberry or Rhubarb Preserves

Serves 8 to 12

Ingredients
1 to 2 cups strawberries or rhubarb
3/4 to 1 ½ cups sugar
¼ cup water

Instructions
Cut fruit.  Place all ingredients in a saucepan.  Bring to a boil and simmer on low heat for 5 minutes for strawberries and 15-20 minutes for rhubarb.  Serve hot or cold.
Preserves will only keep for a few days.

Hint: Serve with toast or English muffins.
