Turnip Casserole

Serves 4 to 6

Ingredients
1 turnip, peeled and diced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup milk
1/4 cup brown sugar

Topping
Butter
Brown sugar
Cinnamon

Instructions
Peel and cut 1 turnip.  Boil turnip until cooked.  Mash cooked turnip and add salt, pepper, milk and brown sugar.
Topping: 
Preheat oven to 350F. In a greased casserole, place the mashed turnip. dot with butter. Sprinkle the top of the casserole with additional brown sugar and cinnamon.
Cook in the oven until golden brown at 350 F for 20-30 minutes.
