4 cups sliced, pared, and cored baking apples, about 4 medium apples.
Topping:
½ cup brown sugar, or less
½ cup flour
½ cup rolled oats
¾ tsp. cinnamon
¾ tsp. nutmeg
1/3 cup margarine
Instructions
Place apples in a greased square baking pan.
Topping: In a mixing bowl blend topping ingredients until crumbly.
Spread topping over fruit. Bake until apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
Cook at 350 F for 25-30 minutes.
