Gil's Best Chili

Delicious chili. Everyone asks me if it is Wendy's Chili and they all want seconds. Cooking your own kidney beans makes all the difference.

Gil's Best Chili 


Ingredients 
1 bag, 1 lb Kidney beans
1 teaspoon salt
2 onions, diced
2 lbs lean ground beef
1 cup celery, diced
1 red pepper, diced
1 tsp Chili Peppers
6 tablespoon Chili Powder
2 small cans tomato soup
2 large cans diced tomatoes
1 jar spaghetti sauce, any flavor you like

Instructions
Soak a bag of kidney beans in warm water for 3 hours and rinse well. Add kidney beans to large pot, cover beans with fresh water and add one teaspoon of salt. Bring to boil and simmer for 2 hours or until cooked.
Drain cooked beans, use half the kidney beans, approximately 4 cups of cooked kidney beans, or 3 cans of kidney beans. 
In clean large pot add a bit of olive oil, and cook onions slowly.
Cook beef in another frying pan until no longer pink and drain. Add beef to onions in large pot.
Add all the ingredients to large pot and bring to boil, simmer two or more hours.
Serve in bowls.
